开始: Welcome to the 学生住宿办公室.
Morton College is committed to providing equal access for students with documented disabilities. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and 1973年康复法案第504条, students are guaranteed access to college 程序s and services. Students with a documented disability may request accommodations through the 学生住宿办公室. Any student requesting accommodations must complete a 申请住宿表格, 提供文档, 完成一次面试. Student are highly encouraged to request accommodations early in the registration process. Morton College’s 学生住宿协调员 will assist you through this process and be available to answer any questions.

步骤3: Meet with 学生住宿协调员 for an intake appointment. At this point, accommodations based on your individual needs will be discussed.
Step 4: Coordinator will create an Accommodation Plan which lists your name, 学生证, 课程, 教员姓名和住宿条件.
学生的责任:
- Students are responsible for communicating with The 学生住宿办公室 and informing the Accommodations Coordinator of any class schedule changes including adding, 放下或收回.
- Informing the Accommodations Coordinator of any barriers or accommodations not being provided.
- 及时提出住宿要求. Accommodations are not applied retroactively and become effective from the time the instructor receives the Accommodation Plan.
- Communicating with your instructors about your accommodations and making testing arrangements in advance.

Post-secondary students with disabilities are guaranteed access to college 程序s and services by the following federal laws:

残疾的定义
The law defines a person with a disability as someone who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. The definition further indicates that you are a "person with a disability" and entitled to protection from discrimination if you have a disability, 如果你有残疾史, 或者如果你被认为有残疾.
An "otherwise qualified" disabled individual is defined as one who with an auxiliary aid (e.g., tape recorder, text-on-tape, notetaker) or reasonable accommodation (e.g., 测试普氏, 延长测试时间, sign language interpreter) can meet the academic requirements that an institution can demonstrate essential to its education 程序.
